My Hooplife - What I'm doing Right Now
Latest News:
Ain't nothing major going on with me man. Just trying to get my little one right. He wants to be nice on the court. All I can do is teach him the lil things I know. Other than that, I'm trying to get back in shape, so I can keep up with these youngsters!!! I'm living it man.
I need to get back in shape. I've been out for a minute. Playing here and there. I've probably played 3 times in the last two months. I haven't been working out, running, nothing! I like to play in tournaments and leagues, but I'm too competitive to just play for fun. I like to kill dudes. The only way I'm able to do that is if I'm in shape.
JUNIOR: 1st Team All-District, 1st Team All-Parish, 2nd Team All-State
SENIOR: 1st Team All-District (MVP), 1st Team All-Parish (MVP), 1st Team All-State (Co-MVP), Louisiana All-Star Team 1992
Best Experience:
We were playing a non-district game in Albany Louisiana against Albany High School. We had never beat them and they had a squad. I was on a team full of role players and I was the dude. The gym was packkkkkeedddd!!! I ended up scoring 48 that night and we won.
Worst Experience:
We were playing in the State Quarterfinals to advance to the Semi's were the next sequence of games would be played at the LSU Assembly Center. We were coming into the Quarterfinal games as the underdogs because the team we were playing was ranked Nationally at that time. We had'm beat down the stretch. I gave'm 42 points, but we ended up losing by 6. It was much closer at the end, but we had to foul.
Honorable Mention All-Conference (Sophmore), All-Conference 1st team (Junior), Led the nation in scoring first 15 games of the season (32ppg) as a Junior, Honorable Mention All-American (Junior), All-Conference 1st team (Senior)
Best Experience:
Drop'd 40. They were talking a lot of trash before the game and during the 1st half. I was already upset for personal reasons going into the game and I took it out on them. Inside, outside, on the break, in the set...I was letting them have it. I also got dunked on that night too :) Hey...it's part of it.
Giving McNeese State 24. Playing against NBA prospect Damond Malette and Andre Burks (UMASS Transfer). I gave'm that work. We ended up losing by 4 though. We weren't even supposed to be in the game tho.
26 at LSU against Ronnie Henderson (NBA Prospect at the time). Randy Livingston was on the team, but was sitting out due to a knee injury. He came up to me after the game and shook my hand and said that I did my thing against his boy Ronnie...killed.
Worst Experience:
Last home game of my college career and my mom came to the game. During Coach's pep talk he walked over to me and asked me if I was concerned with getting the scoring record for our school. Funny thing is that the scoring record wasn't on my mind. I was ready to hoop. Well, it rubbed me the wrong way and I showed him how much I was worried about the scoring record. I didn't shoot a shot the whole game. The guys on the other team were asking me what was wrong because I had just giving them 40 a couple of weeks earlier. It was the same team from my "Best Experience" from above.

dude as always been able to go, nice j ball, and can control the tempo of any game...will lock you up....baseline to baseline guy.....can be my pointman any day
Dude got mad skillz. One of the few point guards in San Antonio that I actually like runnin with. Will get you the ball when you're open and will light your ass up when you talk trash.
one of the purest shooters I've seen. Watched him go from lil dude trying to be a hooper. To a lil dude actually being a Hooper. Like me, he had a coach that hated on his situation (Off-The-Court) and decided to limit his play because of it. HATE is a strong word. Nevertheless, he's happy with his life and still shoots that thang from DEEP!!!
